Your Challenge

As Tech Lead within the Open Banking API development team you will lead the team, consisting of backend developers and testers in designing, developing, and maintaining Java and Spring Boot applications, microservices, endpoints and APIs. You conduct code reviews, align best practices and mentor the developers in the team.

You collaborate with Product Managers, business and architects to define business requirements and specify user flows, translating them to technical requirements and decisions. Our team work according to the ´you build it, you run it´ principle and we are responsible for our solutions throughout the DevOps cycle.

We use Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and Maven, with Github and Docker for CI/CD, deploying in Openshift and monitoring with Splunk. Our APIs allow Third Party Apps and Services to integrate with our banking services.

The Team and Workplace

The team consists of backend developers, a Scrum Master, a Tester and a PO. You will work in a diverse environment with teams and colleagues located in Stochholm and Vilnius.

SEB offers a hybrid workplace solution where you can work both from home and at the office in Solna, and we spend appr. 2-3 days in the office per week. In addition to 4,500 workplaces, our office of almost 100,000 (!) square meters accommodates a gym, restaurants, a bicycle garage and terrace.

About You

We´re looking for a collaborative, communicative and driven Lead, able to question the status quo and to represent and speak for the team in various forums.

You have proven experience (several years) as lead developer for DevOps teams in the banking, fintech or insurance domain, with deep knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems. You´re well-versed in financial APIs, e.g., payment initiation, account information services as well as Open Banking and compliance requirements. You have hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot and APIs, and it´s of course additionally meritorious if you´re familiar with the other technologies in our stack. You have strong modelling and documentation skills.

Our working language is English, and you have strong communicative skills both written and spoken in English. Swedish is a plus.
